I unfriended him six months later as I was beginning to get involved in a serious relationship and didn't want to friend of guys on FB as I didn't want to keep changing the privacy settings, etc to cut a long story short. I unfriended him and he sent me a request to friend me again but I declined... Few months later, at Christmas he sent me a season's greetings' message. I replied back at New Year's and then he sent me a line saying if I want to confirm the friendship request. I didn't. Then a few weeks later he sent me a request to like his page and become a memeber of his group. I did join his group but didn't confirm the friendship.. In February, it came to me that I've been acting rather silly and confirmed the friendship request he's sent and sent him a happy bday message. He thanked me. That was that since. Do you think he's interested or was just after having me in his contact list as a number. I know it's probably less than lukewarm but was there ever an interest or am I just delusional?! I dunno but when I unfriended him, he said he wanted to stay in touch and see my photos and hear my news and begged me not to unfriend, but now that I re-added him, he's disappeared!!

He sounds like one of those people who like the # of "friends" to be HUGE but doesn't really have many "real" friends.
Sounds harmless though.
I have a rule for my FB. If I don't talk to the people in my friends list for more then 6 months, I bump them off. I don't care how many "friends" my page has. EVERY single on of them are people I care about, talk to or.. are related too. I don't do random invites or people I talk to in passing. They get my phone number for that and if we DO start talking often and it comes up they might get added.
