writes:My girlfriend of 2 yrs broke up with me 2 months ago, and she started dating someone else about a month after we broke up. Which as many of you had guessed, hurt me really bad! So I decided to stop talking to her for awhile until i get over her....Of course I've been through all of the emotional roller coaster that ppl go through after a breakup and have accepted that she has moved on and that we're over.Now, I'm at the point where i dont talk about her to anyone anymore and if anyone brings her up..i just change the topic. I dont really think about her anymore either, but when I do..I start to feel really sad, but of course I try to ignore it and think about something else....Does this mean I still have feelings for her or something? and what should i do about it?

reader, anonymous, writes (13 June 2011): Its normal that you feel sad when you think about her because you once shared a special relationship with her and letting that go is of course hard. Its good that you're forgetting her. Calling her "Ex" doesn't mean your feelings will also change suddenly. It takes time. Slowly, you'll get over her. And you don't have to talk about her. Just relax and find someone else. It'll help you to forget her.

reader, anonymous, writes (13 June 2011): You probably do have feelings for her still. Just because a relationship ends doesn't mean that the feelings will go away soon or even ever. Just keep doing what you're doing. Not talking to an ex is a great way to help getting over someone, and maybe once you meet a new girl that you like it will help even more.
