Well you see, the committee in keeping with the spirit and intentions of Alfred Nobel and his pursuit of redemption after his so very destructive inventions, are sometimes award the prize not so much on what a nominee has done, as much as the expectations a worried and fretful world has placed in the candidate.\

This is a relationship site not the place to analyze workings more cloistered than the Vatican and the way they pick the pope.
If you want to know why the sky is blue I'll tell'ya.
The blue color of the sky is due to Rayleigh scattering. As light moves through the atmosphere, most of the longer wavelengths pass straight through. Little of the red, orange and yellow light is affected by the air.
However, much of the shorter wavelength light is absorbed by the gas molecules. The absorbed blue light is then radiated in different directions. It gets scattered all around the sky. Whichever direction you look, some of this scattered blue light reaches you. Since you see the blue light from everywhere overhead, the sky looks blue.
If you want to know why O'bama won the nobel prize you're looking in the wrong place.
