I think like most things, it's a dual-edged sword. One the one side it's a great tool, tons of information, easy communication venues, networking capabilities, educational (in too many ways, too often) and so on. On the other side: It allows for too much weirdness, fraud, and exacerbated addictions. My two personal favorites I love to hate are the Facebook/MySpace/ and Twitter nonsense. There is no longer any discretion in use. Personal dirty laundry scattered to the four winds.
On going arguments in households over whose-doing-what online in secrecy. Things that were never issues are now epidemic. The porn thing just shouldn't be out there for open access.
Things like tone of voice and facial expressions just don't exist in that medium. Soon, we'll be reduced to grunting at eachother whilst furiously texting. It's both good and bad.
