kids and his ex

booboo15, posted over a year ago

Hi,

I moved in with my boyfried and our relationship is wonderful.

He has two children from his ex, he sees the children two or three times a week, all this is fine except for the fact that his ex has refused to let me meet the children.

This makes things hard on us as I have no option but to stay with friends the nights that the children stay over.

My boyfriend has said that he is willing to go to court over this as it seems to be pure bitterness driving his ex.

They split up almost six years ago there was no one involved my boyfriend just stoped loving her, he has never wanted to introduce the kids to anyone before as he felt that his ex made a mistake in introducing the kids to everyone she has met.

He is a good father but I am concerned that if he tries to fight for my right to stay in my own home his ex will stop him having the kids.... this would hurt him very much.

Please any advice would help, as I can see no way out of this at the moment.

P.s It is starting to piss me off that I have got to leave my house twice a week.

thanks

booboo

Hi Hun,

You may have more answers if you post your question on the questions page at Dear Cupid - this is the forums section of the site. If I were in your shoes, I would speak to your boyfriend about going over and meeting with his ex, just to break the ice. If you tell her that your wish is to put the children first, and that you have no intention of usurping her role, she may back off a bit.

Try posting at the other site!
