help!!

willywombatwillywombat, posted over a year ago

This is posted by me for a friend (genuinely!). She is seeing her tutor they are both in their 20's. They are both female and they are both married. Now I disaprove and dont want to be involved with all the mess the comes out afterwards. But they are both now friends (obviously I was mates with one before the other). So what do I do? How do I handle this. We are looking at them breaking up marriages here, but I am uncomfortable with their deception and want to remain friends........help!

Oh dear what a situation to be in!! You must be quite mad at them! Its a hard choice to make, maybe you're only option is to be clear with them how you feel about the whole thing. As people change around you so do your opinions of them and their actions, therefore your friendships change. Maybe over time you will know more of how you feel.

I can remember when I had a get together at my old house. One of my friends boyfriend slept with my cousin and I didn't really know what to do, I went round to my friends house and told her what I knew because that is what I would want other people to do for me, soon after she didn't talk to me, but I don't mind, cause I THINK I done the right thing!!! But you never each situation is different!

It's all quite embarrassing. I was in the middle of them last night (not literally mind!) with both of them giving me grief cos I am not going to play go between anymore!! I just cant do it. It's wrong. It makes me feel icky - not cos it's a female thing, but cos its an adultery thing!

It is so difficult when friends put you in this kind of situation. I don't think there is much you can do to change the situation, but you can stop being the go-between and try to have as little to do with the situation as possible. As your friends they should understand that you are not comfortable with encouraging them, and respect your wishes to be kept out of it.

Of course it's not always this easy in real life.

Well update guys. One husband has been left and is devasted. The other husband may not be left because of the devastation caused by other one. (does that make sense?) It is all fun and games round here. Friend 1 now on sofa cos cannot face anybody......
