There could be a couple of reasons for this. One is that whoever answered changed his or her mind and deleted his or her account and removed all his or her posts. Another is that an answer didn't meet site guidelines and was removed. And finally,

Another reason questions may be rejected is if you have asked the same question, or a minor variation of the topic, over and over and over again.

It's possible I could ask for the secret code when posting an anonymous answer to an anonymous question I'll try and do some stats on how often this happens by matching the IPs which will give a rough approximation
