Why can't I ever edit my rejected posts?

If my post gets rejected, I can never re-edit it or ask another mod to look at it.... Anyone else got this problem?

Try pasting it in a document and saving it and if you post gets rejected you can edit it and resubmit it.

There is that but, as it's quite an important part of the site for all users, maybe, when there is spare time, something could be done to fix it. That way, the site would be pretty perfect.
