aunts verbally attacking question askers is normal now?

Over the last year I've become increasingly aware of agony aunts verbally attacking question askers or using passive agressive retorts to turn questions into flame wars.

I could name and shame a lot of them right here right now but in order to give them a chance to make up for what they have been doing I won't be listing them this time.

People come here for advice not to be bullied and berated by the likes you.

This needs to end right now!

Go ahead..name names. I've been on this site for many, many years and I haven't noticed any big change in attitudes, quite a lovely variety I think.

IF the Mods okay it and they post through; then is it truly the Aunts/Uncles 'fault' for the comments that clear?

Censorship- when do we draw the line and who gets say over such matters?

It is clearly up to whatever Mod for that day so again- what are you hoping to change?

Free thought, free will? Or enforce curtesy?

Why not enforce common sense to posters instead? I find that to be more of a just cause.

With highly favourable outcomes to families and homes. ;)

There's a MAJOR difference between being bullied and being told the truth. Some posters feel the aunts are against them when they're being told advice they don't wish to hear.

Anyways, we MODs work day and night in the queue to keep this site safe and top notch quality. We remove any harmful answers and shut down flame wars when they start to erupt. If for any reason, you feel bullied by an aunt in a thread then you need to report it immediately.

Probably a little more candid than I'd be :)

Though some people respond well to tough love or brutal honesty. I think just as long as nothing deliberately cruel or hurtful is written (which obviously wasn't in your case). You need to be true to your personality-style in order to offer your unique insight. All the diversity and varying opinions are what keep DC so interesting and real!

Whats funny is that its the narcissists that bristle at you pointing out their unfairness or irrational behaviour. And over react and threaten to never come back to this site, and trash talk the site and anyone who dares opposes their point of view or does not treat them like they are a victim.

Everyone else can take the truth, brutal, fair or otherwise.

It's ridiculas. Please or offend I just offer advice and my own opinion, wether they want to use that or not is up to them. You cant please everyone, Maybe the ones who are complaining are the ones who heard the truth and just could not take it :)

You know I was! At the sports bar/steakhouse I watched Purdue beat Michigan at home! Then we went home, made drinks called Almond Joys and watched Izzo and the boys beat Nebraska soundly. It doesn't get much sweeter than a UM loss at home to ruin their perfect home record and knock them out of the BIG 10 race and then watch Izzo and the boys stomp on Nebraska while Draymond Green gets his 1000th rebound! Damn fine night to be a Spartan!

Hey Eyes! Wisconsin beat OSU at home today! MSU is left standing alone at the top of the BIG 10 and has clinched at least a share of the title even if we lose out! Yeah Baby! We can clinch the championship outright with a win over Indiana on Tuesday!
