My husband has been deployed 3 times over the last 4 years. Twice to Iraq and once to Afghanistan.
Is he military? If so, are you living on post or off? Are you in the FRG? If not, join:) You will most likely meet a LOT of very nice ladies and hopefully find 1 or 2 that you click with.
Being "left behind" is not easy, but it does get easier over time. One thing it taught me was organization skills and independence.
