ITV1 Documentary – Teens, Sex and Relationships
Are you sixteen or under and in a loving relationship and sexually active? Did you wait until you were both ready?
Are your parents aware that you are sexually active and grateful you’ve been honest with them? Or is it something you’ve chosen to keep well hidden?
Is sex important in your relationship?
Do you find it difficult to talk to your parents about sex or do you discuss it openly?
A production team from Granada TV specialising in programmes about young people is producing a documentary for ITV1 about teenagers and their attitudes to sex and relationships.
The aim of this film is to explore the subject of teenage sex in Britain today; to gain an insight into teenager’s attitudes to sex and love and above all to explore the issue from your perspective. It's intended to be a straightforward, honest and non-judgemental approach to the topic.
We hope to give young people a chance to talk frankly about their situations and to share what it's really like to be a teenager in 2006. We want to appeal to a youth audience and the participants will effectively be addressing their peers and basically telling them how it is without sensationalism.
There’s no ‘agenda’ to the film - we’re simply looking for young people from a range of different backgrounds, with different views, from all over the country to become involved. Ultimately we hope the doc will have a very positive feel and shatter a few stereotypes.
Whatever your opinion we’d love to hear from you.
