There's an article about Polyamory in July's edition of New Scientist. It seemingly supports the idea using evolutionary psychology.

Yos I would be happy to scan this article for you if you want? Whilst most of the article seems in support of polyamorous relationships there is some interesting comments from a biologist that is more on the side of Robert Wright in explaining why some people choose this lifestyle.
