Do women love each other's touch?

I have long since noticed that women seem much more happy to be touching each other than men, and nearly always it's their bare upper arms that they seem to enjoy touching together with another female on a hot summer's day, whilst out together, or at a party, etc. Very few men would accept another man invading their personal bit of space, leave alone touching skin, yet many women, even straight, seem to be happy to touch their own gender's bare skin with no reservations at all. Has anyone else noticed this female practice? Is it because a woman's upper arms are one of her erogenous zones that woman like to share together, even straight women?
