Hi all

They say there is no such thing as a dumb question well I'm sorry but I beg to differ so here goes…if an aunt or uncle sends you a friend request is that an invitation to chat private like a Facebook kinda thing? Because I kinda feel rude for not responding other than accepting the request. For anyone who is interested- yes my face is going red lol. Thanks :P

no all it means is that they want to list you as a friend on their profile.. it does not mean you have to chat with them.

I usually send a "thank you, for adding me" note.

But that is just me.

Considering the volume of questions and answers on the site and the care and consideration that people put in to giving good advice I don't think many people would have the spare time to just chat with a whole lot of posters on a regular basis.

Also it is not rude if you choose to NOT follow a person.

I always do read up on the persons answers below I respond to the poster
