Glad you asked, it stands for Water Dispacement and it was the 40th attempt to create it, hense WD 40. Love the stuff

Hello Eyes! How ya doing, girl? Wd-40 is a staple in our house as well. Last count... I think we had 4 cans of it, out in the garage. It seems when we need it, everyone keeps forgetting where they put the dang stuff and someone goes out and buys more! :)

I always have WD-40 in my back pack when out riding my motorbike, especially in the winter, when the bike wont start, I spray it here, spray it there, (not near tyres tho), and then a little more under there and bang, My Betty Beast fires up.

I'm quite well known for saying to anyone who is having a problem starting their vehicle, have you sprayed it with WD-40. lol.
