Proceed carefully. Red flags are a wavin' here, hun. Most guys who are serious about meeting people to date, will send a picture almost immediately and he will ask for one of you. Something is up with this guy. He's hiding something. He could be fat, ugly and balding, he could be married or otherwise attached, or just some weirdo trolling the internet dating sites for 'good times' if you catch my drift (cyber sex)! If he never sends you a pic, move on. Ask him straight out, bluntly for a pic-insist on it or you let this go. If he's on the up and up, that picture will arrive within the next 15 minutes. Call him out on this hun..you need to protect yourself. No excuses. Remember, if he's starting off this friendship with lies, odds are it will stay that way and this should tell you a lot about his character. Be careful and remember....actions speak louder than words. Good luck

Listen to irish she is sooo right, I also feel there is an eliment of worry with on line dating as you dont see the person until you meet, they can post pics of other people and make up profiles that are just not true, they could be a sex offender or really not a nice person, there is a lot of danger in meeting with someone over the net, it also can detract from you meeting "real" people as you get involved in cyber world, I have known people to get so involved in the internet and chat rooms that they stopped going out and only went to school or work. So just be careful, forearmed is forwarned.

Most of my exs have come off the net and I have to echo Irish and Smeedle here. Dichotomy between words and actions is never a good sign in any context but it is especially bad in an online context cause often word is all you have to go on...
