im 42 and have been in this up and down so called relationship with my boyfriend for years, hes 52 and as always lived with his mum, which is the problem, shes old now and he feels responsible for caring for her, shes nver excepted me or any other woman, shes very protective of him over posessive and jealous of me or any other woman she feels will take him away, we have kown each other for 18 yrs and he just wont commit,i want to get engaged but he wont,its not fair on me that im getting nowhere with him,he wont never leave his mum whilst shes alive? which leaves me where i am, putting up with being treated like no body,
