What to do

gottamx, posted over a year ago

Me and my ex had been together for 6+ years now until last night. She pull me aside and told me that she just does not think she is in love with me any more. I was ready to propose marriage. We are college students at the same university but i dropped out for 2 years. We are from the same town so we saw each other 1-2 times a month and that stressed the relationship alot. We both thought that when i got back to school it would all work out but it didn't. We have only been in each other's company for a bizzzzzzy week now and she already gave up. I think that one week to quick to give up on 6 years of a healthy relationship. Have any of you been in her shoes here. I want her back, or at least back long enough for a good chance.

Before you promise the earth to her, try to find out without pressure, if 1. Can you both stay friends and maintain contact this way, so the door will stay open for you. and 2. If she thinks she doesnot love you anymore, ask her without getting heavy, does she feel she fell in love with someone else, No recriminations just be gentle and if the answer is yes. Make her and your self a nice warm drink, and stay friendly. After all why risk getting the door slammed into your face.. Softly softly.. be patient sometimes a woman gives up on a guy because he never moves in on her.... read Man are from Mars and Women are from Venus, it will make some things clear.
