10 year relationship breakdown

Ive been with my boyfriend for nearly 10 years. He is a good bloke but I just dont fancy him anymore. I got in touch with an old school friend who said he is in love with me and I think I really like him. My partner knows something is wrong. He is really devastated and I feel desperately sorry for him. I really care about his feelings but Im not sure that I want to be with him anymore. I cant bare to watch him go through this pain, but I feel like I dont want him to touch me anymore. I really dont know what to do?

Do the decent thing and tell him how you told us here. There's no point dragging out the inevitable ending. Much less painful to end it now rather than letting him suffer weeks or months of false hope.

In a couple of years when the new guy no longer floats your boat come back here and explain to me why women will never give up one guy until they have another one waiting. Listen to me. I am not dogging you. I really want it explained to me. It always is like this. I have never been dumped by a woman until she can make a lateral move. The last thing I am looking for after coming out of a committed relationship is another one. You guys won't leave until you have one lined up. This might be why women...not you specifically, have a hard time with guys. You force relationships on guys by ..not you...but women..in general...withholding sex or whatever you do and when men chafe about being settled down with a bit in our mouth you say we are difficult.
